History

The Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School name was registered on 11 October 2004 by a group of local residents determined to have their own special School available for their children.

The School commenced operation with 47 students in February 2006 in the old Mundijong Shire offices and hall. The School flourished from the start as enrolments grew to over 250 by the commencement of the 2009 school year.

The School had been fortunate to receive a gift of land from the Bett Family located on the corner of Bishop and Soldiers Road in Mundijong and building commenced in 2008 and was completed in 2009. A second build was undertaken in 2011 and further building for the Early Learning is was completed in 2016. A second stream Early Learning Centre is currently being built, ready for students mid 2017. Currently the School caters for over 550 students from Pre-Kindergarten to year 12. Rapid growth in the region is ensuring that there is a healthy demand for places in the School and the high standards that are consistently maintained ensure the School is attractive to people moving into the area.
