Secondary School

Our role as educators for students in their senior school years is to prepare them for a challenging and changing world. Students require a diverse set of skills to successfully transition into university, further training or the workforce. Interwoven through this is our desire to develop the student's ability to think openly, critically and creatively, solve real world problems and engage with alternative points of view. Students are also challenged to think beyond themselves and identify their own moral purpose.

Students in lower secondary are exposed to a ranger of elective subjects to allow them the opportunity to explore their interests and discover their talents.

Our focus in year 10 is engaging students in discovering potential career paths. Year 11 and 12 students choose subjects based on either the ATAR stream, for those applying for university entry, or the VET stream for those wishing to pursue apprenticeships, traineeships or future study at TAFE colleges.

Students in year 11 will be put through their paces in the annual Week of Challenge camp. In addition to this trip is a host of other excursion and incursion opportunities. Students who display leadership potential will have the opportunity to join the student leadership team and develop and practise the teamwork, communication and organisational skills required of leaders.
