Scholarships

Scholarships applications for 2018 have now closed and testing results will be circulated to applicants during term 3.

2019 Scholarship applications will open during December 2018.

School Academic Scholarships: Entry into years 4, 7 and 10

Three scholarships are awarded, one in each of years 4, 7 and 10 and will apply for the duration of the student's time in the following Sub-Schools:

  • Junior School (years 4-6)
  • Middle School (years 7-9)
  • Senior School (years 10-12)

These scholarships provide for a 50% reduction of tuition fees and are awarded annually to the most academically able student completing the application process. The scholarship requires acceptable academic achievement, which will be reviewed annually.

Year 7: Ken & Lorraine Court Scholarship for the Arts

The scholarship is awarded to a student entering year 7 demonstrating technical skill and inherent interest in developing through the Arts. Talented candidates are invited to demonstrate their skills in a variety of Arts domains including: Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Media/Photography. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of this application and portfolio or audition. Available instruments in the music program include; guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards/piano, voice.

The scholarships will provide up to 50% remission on tuition fees and when applicable music tuition on one (1) chosen instrument,if applicable, for the duration of years 7-12. The continuation each year will be subject to acceptable academic achievement and positive contribution to the ethos of the school, including a commitment to the co-curricular program.

The Nijole Natalija Weedon Scholarship

This scholarship provides full tuition fees for an indigenous or refugee child commencing school in any of the years 7-10.  Further, the scholarship seeks to provide for a child, who would normally not be able to attend Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School and be able to pursue the academic opportunities available in the School. The scholarship applicants will be required to complete the academic test in March.  This will be followed by an interview with the family conducted by the School Principal. The continuation each year will be subject to acceptable academic achievement and positive contribution to the ethos of the school.

Year 10 New Student Scholarships

These two scholarships are for new students wishing to enrol at Serpentine Jarrahdale Grammar School and provide 100% tuition fee reduction for years 10 – 12 commencing in 2018.

ATAR Bound Pathway

Students applying for this scholarship are required to complete the academic test on Saturday 10 June 2017 and the Scholarship requires acceptable academic achievement, which will be reviewed annually.

Non-ATAR Pathway

Students applying for this scholarship are required to submit a portfolio and/or interview demonstrating their skills in an area which they wish to study their Certificate 1 in year 10.

To apply for a scholarship download and complete an application form before the closing date. Return the completed form to the School Administration with the relevant documents and Scholarship Application Fee.

Scholarship applications for entry into 2019 will be open during December 2017.

Scholarship Testing

Scholarship tests are held in June  each year for entry in the next calendar year. The Scholarship tests must be completed for all Scholarship applications.
